Finance Assistant
Location: Richmond, Surrey
Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week
Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent
£19,200 (FTE equiv. £32,000)
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Finance Assistant to join a friendly and supportive organisation based in Richmond on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant with strong accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a busy environment where accuracy, attention to detail and a methodical approach are essential.
The position is initially for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Key Responsibilities -
Processing a high volume of purchase invoices and financial data accurately
Preparing and processing weekly payment runs
Managing accounts payable transactions and supplier queries
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
Supporting the wider finance team with general accounting and administrative duties
About You
The successful Finance Assistant will have:
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or purchase ledger role
- Experience preparing and processing weekly payment runs
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- The ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
- A positive, flexible and hands-on approach
- You will be comfortable working independently as well as being part of a small, supportive team.
